About the blog: This blog is an ode to the busy cook. I love all food blogs, but am I really going to make these complicated dishes? No. Here I have dishes that anyone could make with as little effort as possible. That is why I have my sloth laziness scale. The amount of sloths will tell you how much effort you are willing to put into cooking.The more sloths, the less effort the dish takes. Easy, right?

About the author: As California Transplant in Texas, I have my foot in two food cultures. California has its fresh produce and multicultural influence, and Texas has its Tex-Mex and BBQ. I love both, along with being outside, naps, yoga and science. I hate doing laundry. A lot.  My teaching job and cooking schedule keeps me pretty busy, I however have time for the occasional day trip. So as they say in Texas, welcome ya’ll, and feel free to pull up a chair and stay awhile.
